About the Artist
Anita McCarthy is an Irish artist, born and bred in Dublin. After years working in the UK Anita returned to Dublin to find a changed cityscape with new developments such as the impressive Grand Canal Theatre, The Samuel Beckett bridge juxtaposed with the old familiar landmarks of the Custom House and the Poolbeg Towers. While working in the Convention Centre Dublin, Anita was inspired and captivated by the exciting and vibrant Grand Canal Docks area and spent time developing her Dublin Skyline series to capture the character of the new and old Dublin uniting. Her distinctive and quirky creations truly display the charm and beauty of the Irish way which help you fall ‘Upside Down In Love With Dublin’.
