About the Artist
Wally Cassidy is a self-taught documentary photographer since 1989, spending four years photographing Dublin’s street characters, punks, protests and Smithfield horse fair. In 1993 he put down the camera for personal reasons and started working on building sites in Athlone during the Celtic Tiger. In 2014 he released ‘The Other Half Lives’ documenting life on the streets of Dublin 1989-93 and since then four Café Royal Books plus another in the pipeline. Since moving to Limerick City in 2012 he is back on the streets with a camera. Facebook
