About the Artist
Stasele is a Lithuanian artist and conceptual illustrator and muralist born in Sakha/Siberia, currently living and working in Dublin / Ireland.
Member of the AOI. Graduated in Painting from Vilnius Art Academy in 2012. She also studied for a year Fine Arts and Printmaking at Utrecht School of the Arts and Estonian Art Academy. After graduation, she travelled and lived for a while in Belgium and London.
In her illustration, Stasele uses lots of symbols and unrealistic composition as well as colourful pallets, riso aesthetic and print textures. Meanings and ideas in her works are as important as the visual part. Her inspiration is mostly words and their different perceptions behind the images.
