About the Artist
Gráinne is printmaker and image maker from Dundalk . She is a graduate of Limerick School of Art and Design, where she received a BA Honours degree in Printmaking. She is currently Creative Spark print studio technician and coordinator. Her work explores the human figure and often includes recurring images of entomology. Her work plays between the ideas of dark and beauty and the surreal. Her Mono print work is much more fluid and a sort of structured abstract style. Often coming from inspirations of folklore and emotion she uses ink to create automatic Monoprint that are perpetually flowing and evolve into the finished pieces.
